Uplifting Spirits: PKBF’s Online Painting Competition During the Pandemic
The Paani Ki Bund Foundation (PKBF) organised an online painting competition from January 1 to 2, 2022, during one of the most challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. As the world faced strict lockdowns and movement was severely restricted, many felt isolated and uncertain about the future. In a period where everything seemed to stand at a standstill, PKBF lifted people's spirits by encouraging creativity and connection.
The online competition aimed to provide participants, especially children and youth, with a constructive way to channel their emotions and cope with the stress of the pandemic. Through art, individuals could express their thoughts and feelings while being part of a more significant community effort to stay positive. The event not only offered a platform for artistic expression but also helped combat the sense of depression and isolation that many experienced during this time.
PKBF’s initiative was met with enthusiasm, as participants from different regions came together online to share their artworks, offering glimpses of hope and creativity despite difficult circumstances. This event highlighted the foundation's commitment to nurturing emotional well-being and fostering a sense of unity during times of crisis.
